Day 1: Cape Town (Table Mountain & Robben Island)

Embark on an afternoon tour of one of the most picturesque cities in the world. Cape Town is affectionately known as “The Mother City” and boasts the famous Table Mountain in the centre of the metropolitan city. This tour focuses on the history and scenic beauty of Cape Town and is an ideal springboard for all travellers visiting the Cape for the first time. The tour starts with a visit to Table Mountain (weather permitting) and ends with a ferry ride to tour Robben Island. Transfer to your hotel (President Hotel) with the evening at leisure.

Day 2: Cape Point and Peninsula

The Cape Peninsula, situated on the South Westerly tip of Africa, has much to offer the day-tripper. Fabulous scenery at Cape Point, the naval history of Simon’s Town, and one of only two land-based breeding colonies of African Penguins at Boulders beach. Chapman’s Peak drive is one of the most scenic drives in the world and offers a beautiful view of the Peninsula.

The Route: Cape Town - Camps Bay - Hout Bay - Chapman’s Peak drive - Kommetjie - Cape Point Nature Reserve - Simon’s Town - Stellenbosch

• Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve & Cape Point
• Funicular ride to Cape Point lighthouse
• Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach
• Simon’s Town

Day 3: Hermanus | Whale Tour

Hermanus is one of the most picturesque places the Cape has to offer its visitors. Between June to December, Southern Right whales can be spotted along the coast between Cape Town and Hermanus, Hermanus being the best land-based viewing point for whale watching. The route passes via Clarens Drive / False Bay and into Hermanus.

The Route: Cape Town – Clarens Drive - Hermanus

Highlights:

• Travel via Clarens Drive / False Bay to Hermanus
• Harold Porter Nature Reserve and waterfalls
• Overview of Walker Bay through Rotary Drive (Walker Bay viewpoint)
• Lunch at one of Hermanus’s famous seafood restaurants
• Hermanus, whale watching by boat:  Southern Right Charters (June - December)

Day 4: Stellenbosch & Franschhoek Wine Tour

Visit the winelands towns of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, with an emphasis on the towns and surrounding areas as well as some wine tasting. True heavyweights, both towns boast rich histories, diverse wine making styles with a huge variety of world-class wines to experience first-hand as well as incredible natural scenery, interesting historical facts and a unique mix of old and new world styles coming together.

The Route: Hermanus – Franschhoek – Stellenbosch – Cape Town

Highlights: 

• Visit the famous towns of Stellenbosch & Franschhoek and walk around
• Flagship wine tasting at Anthonij Rupert wines, Franschhoek
• Master cheese and wine tasting at Fairview estate, Paarl
• Lunch at Postcard Café restaurant, Stark Conde estate

We end this tour at your choice between the Cape Winelands, Cape Town Airport or Cape Town CBD
